Carry Knoops-Hamburger was sworn in as a lawyer in 1992. She is a director and managing partner of Knoops’ Advocaten, as well as being employed as legal assistant by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She is the director of the Knoops’ Innocence Project, chairperson of the Miles 4 Justice foundation, and chairperson of the membership Committee of the European Innocence Network. Ms Knoops-Hamburger is also a member of the Advisory Board of New York-based Sunsglow Global Training in the Rule of Law.
Ms Knoops-Hamburger is specialized in national and international criminal law and has extensive experience of review proceedings. In the past she served as co-counsel for the Rawanda Tribunal (ICTR) and the Special Tribunal for Sierra Leone.
